Commissioners can source training which ensures positive outcomes for the individual, delivered using a person-centred whole approach. The focus is on reducing restrictive practices, creating positive outcomes, keeping safe and developing fulfilling lives.
Courses are for services which provide education, social care or healthcare and support individuals who may present with challenging behaviours within the following sectors:
- Children or adults with an intellectual disability
- Children or adults with an autistic spectrum condition
- Children with social, emotional difficulties associated with behaviours that challenge
- Pupils with special educational needs
- Children and young people (up to the age of 9) who are detained in semi secure settings or who are detained under the Mental Health Act
- Adults with a learning disability and / or autism who are detained under the Mental Health Act
- People with acquired brain injury
- People living with dementia
